Mary Mabel Silva Rhyne, 94, of Tallahassee, formerly of Panama City, passed away on Friday, February 9, 2018. A daughter of the late Joseph and Mary Viera Silva, she was born on August 20, 1923, in Gloucester, Massachusetts. She was a devout Catholic and was a faithful parishioner at St. John’s Catholic Church in Panama City until she moved to Tallahassee in December, 2014 to be closer to her daughter, Kenna. An avid Bridge player, she belonged to several Bridge clubs, the Yacht Club, and was a Past President of the Women’s Club. She is survived by her daughter, Kenna Rhyne Moody; grandchildren, Will Moody (wife, Laura), Marianne Moody and Melissa McLaughlin (husband, Duncan); great-grandchildren, Isabella, Jacob, Abbie, Charles Francis (Sonny) and Jamie; as well as numerous nieces and nephews and dear friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, beloved husband of 68 years, William A. Rhyne, her son-in-law, Merrill Moody; and her siblings, Madeline Richards, Anna Nelson and Ralph Silva.
