Mary J. Manns, 82, of Tallahassee, passed into the loving arms of God on Wednesday, November 29, 2017. Daughter of the late John H. and Doris J. Barrett Mueller, she was born on October 28, 1935 in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. Mary was raised in Drexel Hill, Pennsylvania by her maternal grandparents, William and Maybell Gallana, after the untimely death of her mother. She was preceded in death by her husband and great love of her life, Lawrence G. (Larry) Manns and a brother, Joseph Mueller. Mary was a proud graduate of both Immaculata and Villanova Universities. She lived most of her life in Drexel Hill, Collegeville and Pennsburg, Pennsylvania, relocating to Tallahassee in 1996 upon the death of her husband. She was a science teacher, world traveler and voracious reader. She also enjoyed fine dining, excellent wine and the beauty of nature. Survivors include her brother, John (Joan) Mueller; a step-daughter, Meg (John) Mahony; granddaughter, Sarah Mahony; grandson, Brendan Mahony; niece and best friend, Doris (Tom Kwader) Mueller; nieces, Mary Mueller (Lee) Nicholson, Kathy Mueller; Marilyn Mueller (Tim) Rich, Michelle Mueller (Al) Haner; nephews Claude “Boots” (Joanna) Mueller, Bill (Paula) Mueller, Joe (Brenda) Mueller, Jr.; sister-in-law, Helen Mueller; brothers-in-law, Les (Lucy) Manns and Fran Manns. There are numerous great- and great-grand nieces and nephews who also mourn the loss of “Grandmary”. Her loyal dog-ter, Sheba, will miss her terribly.
