Mary Elizabeth Burk, age 84, of Milford, beloved wife of the late Robert E. Burk, passed away at home surrounded by her family on Sunday October 17, 2010 .Daughter of the late John Patrick and Grace Potter McLaughlin, she was born on November 25, 1925 in Hartford, CT.
Mary was a registered nurse who graduated from Mount St. Joseph’s Hospital in Rutland, VT in November 1946. She loved the many years she was employed at Milford Hospital and the former Milford Heights Health Care.
Mary had a love of travel and spent her retirement exploring with her husband, Bob. She had a passion for skiing and especially loved the mountains of Snowmass, Colorado.
Survivors include her two children; Patricia A. O’Neill and her husband Brian of Milford and Robert E. Burk II and his wife Ariadne of Boston, MA; four grandchildren, Sydney and Samantha O’Neill of Milford and Alex and Tasoula Burk of Boston. Also survived by her sister Ann T. Hart of Burlington, VT and many nieces and nephews.
