On Monday, May 4, 2015, the Lord in all His glorious majesty called our beloved mother Marian Green Hunt home to his kingdom while in the care of her children.

We celebrate the life and legacy of Marian Green Hunt. Marian was the oldest child of four. She was born May 12, 1933 in Atlanta, Georgia to the late Columbus and Eddie Mae Green Hall.

At a young age Marian was baptized by the late Reverend D. H.

Marian received her education in the Atlanta Public School System. After high school Marian attended college at Morris Brown. Marian earned her LPN certification while working at Grady Memorial Hospital. Marian received her Real Estate license in 1978. Marian was one of the first Black prominent business owners where she was a booster of the Oakhurst business district for over 20 years in Decatur, GA. Marian eventually retired from Clairmont Place.

Marian was a loving daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, greatgrandmother, aunt, cousin and friend to everyone who knew her.

Marian loved, speaking wisdom to all and shared her home with many.

She leaves to forever love and cherish her memory: three sons, Lewis (Patricia) Harris of Atlanta GA, Rodney Willis (Celeste) Hunt of Forest Park, GA and Dwayne (Rosa) Hunt of Forest Park, GA; five daughters, Sheila Jane (Russell) Wright of Roanoke VA, Glenda Faye Hunt of Decatur, GA, Melba Jeanine Prayor of Decatur, GA, Cindy Ann (Gregory) Walker of Bremen, GA and Barbie Yvette (Dwight) Palmer of Atlanta, GA; eleven grandchildren: Andrew, Jasmine Marian, Quentin, Sheila, Robert, Anthony Jr., Gregory Jr., Sheilita, Belinda, Sidney and Geoffrey; eighteen great-grandchildren; one sister, Catherine Ryans of Bronx, New York; two sisters-in-law, Dorothy H. Reedy of Hampton, VA and Lucretia Green of Decatur, GA; one brother-in-law, Eddie J. McKibbins of Atlanta, GA; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other loving relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by two children, Charles and Sylacia; two grandchildren, Eddie Jr. and Rueben; sister, Estella McKibbins; and brother, Lorenzo Green.
