She was preceeded in death by her husband, Luther Chavis, one son, Alphonso, a daughter, Gwen; five sisters, three brothers.
She leaves to cherish her memories: a daughter, Virginia Alexander (Tony) of Atlanta, GA; a son, Rev. Quentin Chavis (Sandra) of Blythewood, S.C.; eight grandchildren; one grandson, Demetrice Gilbert was under the close guidance of Margie and Luther; 12 great grandchildren; one brother, William Hoover Perry.
