Margaret Elizabeth Spernak, 81, of Quincy, Florida, passed away on Monday, March 16, 2020, at Capital Regional Medical Center, after a brief illness. Born in Union City, New Jersey, on February 25, 1939, she was a daughter of the late Arnold Carl and Margaret Theresa Schenk Suess.
Also preceding her in death is her husband of 56 years, Mitcheal “Mike” Spernak; grandson, Michael Lawton and siblings, Mary Flynn and Robert Suess. She worked as a manager in retail, and had resided in the Tallahassee/Quincy area since 1985, coming from St. George, Vermont. Peggy was a faithful parishioner at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church in Quincy and enjoyed reading and watching television.
She is survived by her daughters, Joan Beaudry (husband, Paul) and Diane Piercy (husband, Charles); grandchildren, Wesley Manning and Aimee Rutt (husband, Adam); great-grandchildren, Olivia Eade, Elizabeth Manning, Riley Manning and Michael Rutt; great-great-grandchildren, June Oldham and Julia Oldham; and sister, Virginia Giumara (husband, Joe). Also surviving are numerous nieces and nephews.
