She was born in Marianna, Florida on April 15, 1934, to the late Charlie Franklin and Liddie Porter Linton. She is also preceded in death by her husband, Worthy T. Martin; infant son, Worthy T. Martin, Jr.; brothers, Hyman Linton, Tom Linton and Elmer Linton; sisters, Mildred Slaughter, Maude Griffin, Elzie Mitchell and Elsie Burnette.
She retired as a rural carrier with the United States Postal Service in Havana. In her spare time, she enjoyed reading, crocheting, gardening, her fur-babies, but most importantly, she loved spending time with her grandchildren. Also surviving are numerous nieces, nephews and other family and friends.
Her memories will be cherished by her sons; Larry Martin and Chris (Tina) Martin; eight grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren; brothers, Hubert Linton, of Crawfordville, Jimmy (Grace) Linton, of Tallahassee; and sisters, Louise Watson and Sybil Herndon, of Tallahassee.
