Mrs. Horton was born December 19, 1931, in Summerville, GA, daughter of the late John Wesley Dawson and Lou Margie Pettyjohn Dawson.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Horton was preceded in death by her first husband, Charlie E. Bryson; second husband, George H. Horton, Sr.
Survivors include sons, Charles (Diane) Bryson, Sidney (Sheilah) Bryson, Willie (Connie) Bryson, and George H. Horton, Jr.; a daughter, Brenda (Tim) Rutledge; brother, Wesley (Geilda) Dawson; 13 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and 8 great-great-grandchildren.
