Mrs. Lucille McCullars, age 90, of Lanett passed away on Sunday, February 2nd, 2020 at the EAMC Lanier Nursing Home in Valley.
Mrs. McCullars was born in Lanett, Alabama on April 20th, 1929 to the late A.F. Mayo and Ella Redmond Mayo. She was also preceded in death by her husband, J. B. McCullars and a sister, Effie Lee Hawkins.
She graduated from Lanett High School Class of 1945 and was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church in Lanett.
She was employed by the City of Lanett as a dispatcher for the police department and later as an administrative secretary to the City Manager, Charles Jennings.
She enjoyed playing the piano and played the organ for Holy Family Catholic Church for many years.
She is survived by daughters, Maria DeLeon, Lisa (Jimmy) Walls; sister, Ella Arrington; grandchildren, Maria Miles, Laura Pemberton, Tina Walls, Zak DeLeon; great-grandchildren, Rocky, Waylon, Halona, Christian, Megan, and Ashlyn.
