Mrs. Louise Madeline Neill, age 97, of West Point, Georgia passed away on Monday, May 29th, 2017 at the EAMC Lanier Hospital in Valley.
Mrs. Neill was born in Mountville, Georgia on December 27th, 1919 to the late William Lee Martin and Ora Alberta “Bertie” Cooper Martin.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Norman C. Neill, Sr.; her brothers, William Lee Martin and John Martin; her sister, Inez Carpenter.
Mrs. Neill was known for her strong work ethic, being an excellent homemaker, and a wonderful cook.
She and her husband co-owned and operated Neill’s Grocery Store in Fairfax for many years.
She was a member of Fairfax First Baptist Church.
Mrs. Neill is survived by her son, Norman C. (Rebecca) Neill, Jr., Smiths Station, Alabama; three grandchildren, Ben Neill, Lauren Neill, John Neill; one great-grandchild, Ashlynn Neill.
