Kathleen “Kate” Anne Brady was a loving wife, doting mother, devoted grandmother, caring friend and follower of Christ. She was born in 1956 and married Emil Brady in 1976. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Social Work from Florida State University, served professionally as a Leon County Commission Aide, and personally as a pastor’s wife, worship leader and prison ministry coordinator. After her husband’s death in 2015, she continued as a friend and disciple to many until her last breath.
She is survived by three children: Lisa Davis (43), Amber Brady-Mckee (41), and Stephen Brady (31), and seven grandchildren: Emma Roberts (19), Lydia Hermann (18), Stephen Hermann (17), Noah Hermann (15), Samantha Mckee (9), Charlotte Mckee (7), Stafford “Ford” Davis IV (5) and son-in-law Stafford Davis V. She lived her life with joy and strength, withstanding multiple brain cancer battles (1999, 2007), and subsequent traumatic medical episodes. Her passion for life was unrivaled. She enjoyed gardening, golfing, playing guitar, worshipping, and sharing the gospel of Christ. She was tender-hearted and generous in every capacity. Her last hours were spent with family, praising the Lord through song; she passed away early Sunday morning, August 22nd.
