Katheryn Jacqueline Austin, 62, of Tallahassee, Florida, passed away on Wednesday, August 19, 2020, at Tallahassee Memorial Health Care. A daughter of the late Preson Peak and Barbara Ann Tullis Phillips, she was born in Durham, North Carolina on March 27, 1958.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by granddaughters, Faith Austin and Addison Stewart; and a niece, Misty Corley. She was an administrative assistant at Culligan Water Conditioning of Tallahassee and was named Employee of the Quarter for the Second Quarter 2020. She was a faithful member at Faith Fellowship Church in Crawfordville, and enjoyed sewing, going to the beach, quiet time, but most importantly, she loved spending time with her grand-babies.
She is survived by her husband of 38 years, Gary Lee Austin; daughters, Barbie Stewart (husband, Bill) and Heidi Austin; grandsons, Austin Stewart, Preston Stewart and Ethan Stewart; brother, Tom Phillips (wife, Fay); sisters, Betsi Calhoun (husband, Mike) and Nora White. Also surviving are numerous nieces and nephews.
