Mrs. Katherine Rebecca (Becky) Reid Katherine Rebecca (Becky) Reid, 86, of Tallahassee, passed away Sunday, May 22, 2016, in Tallahassee. The eldest daughter of the late Vester and Hattie Mae Philmon Sims, she was born July 9, 1929, in Blakely, Georgia. She retired from the State of Florida, after working for both FSU and HRS.
She was married to William “Bill” Reid, who preceded her in death.
She is survived by her children: Teresa Susann Barclay (John) of Arkansas, Rebecca (Becky) Margaret Bermudez (Roger) of Nicaragua, Pamela O’Neal (Bill) of Crawfordville, Mark Daniel Reid of Tallahassee and James Todd Reid (Susan) of Havana; grandchildren: Lesli Nicole Sullivan, Jennifer Mott Vincequere, Katherine Ashley Starnes, Katherine Michelle (Mikki) Whaley, James Mikell Reid, Jessica Ashley Reid, and James Todd Reid; and great-grandchildren Alex & Aubrey Vincequere, Sam, Ben & Jack Starnes, Savannah & Kyra Sullivan, and great-great grandchildren, Todd Reid, and Ailis & Simeon Whaley. She is also survived by a sister, Shirley LaVesta Kearns of Jacksonville FL and a brother, Grady Vann Sims of Melrose (Lake Geneva) FL.
