Mrs. Julia Lee Hurst, 74, a resident of Valley, AL passed away Sunday, September 16, 2018 at the East Alabama Medical Center in Opelika.
Survivors include her daughter, Vicky Strickland (Darryl); two grandchildren, Kayla Peavy (Cory), & David Strickland (Lindsay); great-granddaughter, Evelyn Peavy; two sisters, Anniemae Robinson (J.C.), & Christine Simpson (Sammie). She was preceded in death by her husband, David Lynwood Hurst, a son, David Scott Hurst, her parents, Robert & Mary Barnett, and a sister, Carolyn Ferguson.
Mrs. Hurst was born on September 6, 1944 in Goodwater, AL. She retired from West Point Stevens as an accounting clerk. She loved to make crafts. She was fond of her family, especially her grandchildren and great-granddaughter.
