Jewel Greene Mayo, 93, of Tallahassee, entered the gates of Heaven on Friday, September 1, 2017, while surrounded by her loving family. A daughter of the late Lee Ander and Iolar Barber Andrews, she was born on December 16, 1923, in Ivan, Florida. She is also preceded in death by her husbands, Berl Greene and Albert Mayo; son, George Greene; and siblings, Bill Andrews, Cliff Andrews, Ann Gann and Thelma Groom. She worked with and retired from the local phone company after 40 plus years and was a faithful member at Lake Bradford Baptist Church. Bowling, the Atlanta Braves, FSU Football and Baseball, cooking, sewing, hunting and fishing were always things she looked forward to. She is survived by her children, Tommy (Terry) Greene, David (Susan) Greene, Dennis (Dinah) Greene; daughter-in-law, Cynthia Greene; nine grandchildren and their spouses; twenty-one great-grandchildren and their spouses; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
