Jerry Radney Hubbard went peacefully home to Jesus on January 21, 2021 at the age of 82 at her daughter’s home in Land o’ Lakes, Florida. Jerry was born January 12, 1939 in Ray City, Georgia, the eldest daughter of the late William Radney and Ruby Mae (Kirkland) Radney, and lived most of her life in Tallahassee where she worked many years as Assistant Manager at her parents’ business, Orange Avenue Service Station.
A loving mother, grandmother, and homemaker, Jerry was a remarkable cook and enjoyed preparing meals for her family, especially over the holidays. She also enjoyed quilting, collecting jewelry, and country music. Jerry attended Beulah Baptist Church in Crawfordville.
Jerry was predeceased by her loving husband of 34 years, Jeff Hubbard. She was also predeceased by her parents and her two younger sisters, Geneva (Radney) Connell and Rita Faye (Radney) Ramsey. Jerry is survived by her daughters, Rose Marie Salter Merck (Chuck) of Tallahassee, Betty Jean Salter Dawson (Dave) of Land o’ Lakes, Elaine Ruby Salter Hicks of Tallahassee; and son, William Arthur Salter of Land o’ Lakes. She is also survived by eight grandchildren, Kyle and Evan Key, Alicia Terrell, Alexis Salter, Marina Dawson, Nikita Dawson, Victoria Dawson, and Matthew Hicks.
