Mrs. Iris Annette “Ann” Groves, age 78, of Rocky Face, Georgia passed away Tuesday, August 18, 2015. She was born on February 25, 1937. Ann enjoyed going on cruises with her husband. She loved to can food and enjoyed sewing. Ann loved her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren very much and got great joy in spending time with her family.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Hershel and Iris Grant; son, Larry Nelson Groves; brother, Shelby E. Grant; brother in law, Ralph Ellis; and her sister and brother in law, Janice and Buck Rogers. Ann is survived by her loving husband of 61 years, William Nelson Groves of Rocky Face, GA; son and daughter in law, Danny and Kris Groves of Dalton, GA; daughters and sons in law, Rhonda and Walter Howell of Henagar, AL, Tammy and Greg Carter of Calhoun, GA; brothers and sisters in law, Roger and Emalee Grant of Dalton, GA, Jerry and Annette Grant of Rocky Face, GA; sisters and brothers in law, Shirley Ellis of Cleveland, TN, Linda and Dwight Kiker of Dawsonville, GA, Donna and Dan Combs of Rocky Face, GA, Diane Grant of Tunnel Hill, GA; 9 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
