Mrs. Imogene Langley Nichols, age 89, of Valley passed away on Monday, October 17, 2016 at Gentiva Hospice in Columbus, GA.
Mrs. Nichols was born on November 30, 1926 in Dadeville, Alabama.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert “Bobby” Nichols, and her daughter, Sherryl Williams.
She was a longtime member of the Fairfax First Baptist Church, where she served over the years as a Sunday School teacher and she also served in the Shawmut Baptist Church Day Care. She loved children and telling them about the Lord. She was loved by many.
She is survived by her daughter, Resha (Terry) Wingo, Madison, AL.; son-in-law, Billy Williams, Ellerslie, GA.; grandchildren, Brian (Kayse) Williams, Ellerslie, GA., Kelli (Chris) Wommack, Midland, GA., Jody Wingo, Atlanta, GA., Anna (Michael) Mercer, Auburn, AL.; great grandchildren, Nathan, Wesley, Phillip, and Andrea Williams, Bekah and Ryan Wommack, Emmy and Leah Mercer; several nieces and nephews.
