Mrs. Helen Parsons, 92 years old, of Milford, wife of the late Frank Parsons, passed away at her home on Thursday, September 30, 2010. Born on June 24, 1918 in Bridgeport, CT, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Esther Szell Kertesz. Helen graduated from Harding HS in 1936. Prior to her retirement, Helen worked in the billing department for Schick Safety Razor Company and also worked part time at Subway World Headquarters in the Accounting Department.
Helen was active in Widow and Widowers’ Organization in Bridgeport and was a member of the Milford Senior Center and the Milford Historical Society. She volunteered at Milford Hospital and the Shubert Theater. She worked on the Milford Hospital Building Fund. Helen was an avid quilter, loved gardening and travel.
Survivors include her daughter Nancy P. Little Beckley, son in law Hal C. Beckley and two grandsons, Marcus Little and his wife Kerry of Branford , Scott Little and his wife Gina of Guilford and her great grandchildren, David, Sarrah, Sofia, Jared and Josephine. Also survived by a sister Dr. Elsa K. Rahn of Rockville Center, NY. She was predeceased by her sister Olga Hine, a brother Charles Kertesz Jr. and great grandson Owen Ronald Little.
