Genevieve Copsetta Mette, age 84, of Stratford and a former resident of Milford for over 50 years and beloved wife of the late Roger R. Mette, passed away on Sunday, May 27, 2012 at Lord Chamberlain Health Care in Stratford. Born on November 24, 1927 in Fall River, MA, she was the daughter of the late Alfred and Marie Copsetta. She enjoyed crafts and knitting, was a wonderful singer and loved entertaining her family and friends. Genevieve was a past vice president and former member of the AARP local chapter, volunteered at Golden Hill Health Care Center and was a dedicated leader for the Girl Scouts and Cub Scouts of America. She is survived by her daughter, Rosemarie Wright of Stratford, her sons, Russell N. Mette of Milford, Richard Mette of Wallingford and Robert L. Mette of ME., twelve cherished grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren, her sister Dolores Ciucci of MI and many loving nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by three brothers, Alfred, Jr., Frances and Alvin Copsetta.
