Waterbury- Mrs. Genevieve “Genny” Lopez, 52, died Thursday morning, August 5, at her home with her family by her side. She was the wife of Edwin Lopez.
Mrs. Lopez was born February 22, 1958 in Waterbury daughter of the late Aparicio and Margerita (Torres) Matos. Genny was raised in Waterbury and attended local schools, she enjoyed bingo, word puzzles and Spanish soap operas.
In addition to her husband she is survived by two sons, Edwin A. Lopez and Luis D. Lopez both of Waterbury; two daughters, Linda Reyes and Madeline Lopez both of Waterbury; her special sister, Mildred “Millie” Pellot of Waterbury; one grandson Michael and one granddaughter Imari. She was predeceased by her brother, Edgar Matos.
