Mrs. Gay Nell Shaw, age 73, of Lyerly, GA, died Tuesday, December 8, 2020, at Floyd Medical Center.
Mrs. Shaw was born April 25, 1947, in Eastaboga, AL, daughter of the late J.T. “Jake” Pledger and Bessie Turner Pledger.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Shaw was preceded in death by a brother, James L. “Pat” Pledger; sister and brother-in-law, Betty Lou and Buck Johnson; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Brenda and Mike Woodard; brother-in-law, Charlie Wooten; father-in-law, Bernard Clifford Shaw; and a grandson, John Austin Galletta.
Survivors include her husband, Gary Don Shaw; son, John Gregory Shaw; daughter, Gina Shaw Galletta; brothers, T. C. (Beatrice) Pledger, Bob (Elaine) Pledger, Artis (Trish) Pledger, and Bill (Jenny) Pledger; sister-in-law, Shirley Pledger; mother-in-law, Leona Shaw; and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
