Mrs. Gail Duncan Irvin, age 75, of Lanett, Alabama passed away on Saturday, June 17, 2017 at her residence.
Mrs. Irvin was born in West Point, Georgia on April 6th, 1942 to the late George Dewey Duncan and Vivian Estelle Brazeal Duncan. She was later married to Mr. Jessie Lee Irvin, Sr., who also preceded her in death.
Mrs. Irvin attended Opelika Technical School and Southern Union Community College, where she received an Associate’s Degree in Accounting. She worked as an accountant in the banking industry for SunTrust Bank in Tampa, Florida, while living in Tampa. She later relocated back to Lanett, Alabama and worked for banks in the Opelika area.
She was a family oriented lady who enjoyed spending time with her family and loved to spoil her grandchildren. She, especially, enjoyed dining out with her family at Milano’s Restaurant in Valley.
She enjoyed skating, swimming, and playing tennis.
She is survived by her children, Lee (Sissy) Irvin, Lanett, Alabama, Kim Irvin (Clint) Chambers, Lanett, Alabama, Lisa Irvin, Valley, James Irvin, Lanett; siblings, Andrea Willingham, LaFayette, Alabama, Joe Duncan, Tampa, Florida, Mona (Fred) Ramsey, Tampa, Florida, Marlene Thompson, North Augusta, South Carolina; grandchildren, Brian (Ingrid) Irvin, Courtney Brown, Chelsea Irvin, Eric Buie, Allison (Thomas) Overfield, Rebekah Irvin, Krista Irvin, Kallie Plair; 6 great-grandchildren.
