Mrs. Florence J.
Before her retirement in 1980, Florence was a lead person for 22 years with Norden
Systems in Norwalk. As a lifelong Milford resident, Florence was very active in her community, volunteering her time to the Milford Senior Center and was a former member of the St. Mary’s Ladies Guild.
She is survived by her loving children, Dolores (Dee) Dahowski and her husband John of Florida and son Henry J. Chmielewski and his wife Barbara of Milford, three cherished grandchildren, Erik Dahowski, Leah Whitney and Laura Dahowski and four great grandchildren, Kayleigh and Michael Dahowski of VA, Michael and Jessica Whitney of Milford and many nieces and nephews. Florence was predeceased by her brother, William Surgalis and four sisters- Ann Surgalis, Mildred Hoponick, Laura Surgalis and Josephine Lay and her beloved Godchild Nancy Stewart.
