Fanchon Hollis Stewart, 84, a resident at Harbor Chase Assisted Living Facility, passed away on Christmas day 2017, after dancing and wishing other residents and families a Merry Christmas. A daughter of the late Charles M. and Fanchon Powers Hollis, she was born on March 23, 1933, in Waterloo, Iowa. She was an editor of New Woman Magazine in Palm Beach and later worked at the Christian Science Publishing Society in Boston, Massachusetts. She was an avid reader and avid sewer, making most of her clothes. She was also a member of First Church of Christ, Scientist in Tallahassee. She is survived by her husband, Richard Ray Stewart, Sr.; children, Peter Martinsen, Jr., Claudia Martinsen-Hassell, Martha Eacker, Christina Purslow; grandchildren, Louis Martinsen, Peter Martinsen, III, Nicholas Martinsen, Charles Hassell, Martin Hassell, Hannah Leavine, Emily Holmes, Summer Stewart and Parker Stewart; two great-grandchildren; and a sister, Ruthe Dusette. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her first husband, Peter Martinsen, Sr.; children, Ricky Stewart, Robert Stewart, Rodney Stewart and Roger Stewart; and brothers, Charles Hollis, David Hollis and Peter Hollis.
