Mrs. Evelyn Sarah Stevenson Dean, age 94, of 1050 – 214 Crescent Green Drive, Cary, peacefully departed this life on Friday, March 30, 2018. Mrs. Dean was one of the first Black female Law Enforcement Officers in Washington, DC. She was also a former longtime member of the Sappy Sues Social Club.
Survivors: daughters, Bonnie P. Yates (Michael) of Washington DC and Sheila P. Norrington of Holly Springs NC; stepson, Johnnie Dean (Laura); five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
