Eugenia Raley LaFon, 74, of Tallahassee, passed away surrounded by her loving family on Thursday, November 9, 2017.
A daughter of the late Lowery Jones Raley and Mary Bess McMillian Raley, she was born on January 10, 1943, in Monroe, North Carolina. Also preceding her in death is a brother-in-law, Craig Allen. She was a graduate of Leon High School and later attended Florida State University. She had a successful career as a Tax Examiner with the Florida Department of Revenue, retiring after 35 years of service. Along with her husband, she was a member at John Wesley United Methodist Church and was active in animal rescue.
She is survived by her husband of over 55 years, Michael LaFon; daughters, Caroline Michelle LaFon, Tanya Suzanne LaFon and Mary Annette LaFon; brother, L.J. Raley, Jr.; sisters, Rosalind Allen and Carla Parker (husband, Timothy); uncle Adrian Raley; aunt Margret Raley-Clark and cousin, Carolyn Cumalander (husband George).
