Elvira E. Henry, 91, of Tallahassee, met her Lord and Savior in the early morning hours on Friday, January 29, 2021. Born in Ridgeway (Queens), New York on May 31, 1929, she was a daughter of Domenik Batini and Anna Kaes Batini, of blessed memory.
Also preceding her in death are her husbands, Anthony J. Mirande and Sidney Sorrells Henry; daughters, Theresa Moore and Linda Newburg; and stepson, Craig Henry. Survivors include her daughters, Rosemary Franzen (husband, Jeff), Frank Mirande (wife, Valerie), Elizabeth Mirande, Marguerite Johnson (husband, Ivan), Annette Florin (husband, Elio) and Christine Mirande; stepsons, Grant Henry and Bradley “Mike” Henry (wife, Susan); numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.
A faithful parishioner at St. Louis Catholic Church, she loved Tallahassee and enjoyed cooking, collecting and living life to its fullest.
