Mrs. Ellen R. Aftamonow, 69 years old, of Milford, beloved wife for 46 years to George Aftamonow passed away at Milford Hospital on Thursday, October 14, 2010. Born on September 15, 1941 in Bridgeport, she was the daughter of the late Burt and Eva Shorthouse Gilleo. Ellen graduated from the University of Bridgeport with a degree in Mathematics, Class of 1963. She was the head Librarian for the Volunteer Woodmont Library and was a dedicated member of the Milford Historical Society. She loved books and was an avid reader.
