Elizabeth “Betty” Wallace of South Pasadena FL formerly of Baltic CT died peacefully at home at the age of 90 surrounded by her family on Sunday, August 19, 2018.

Betty was married to the late Richard “Dick” Wallace for over 60 wonderful years. She is survived by her two sons and their wives, Richard and Veronica (Collins) of Guilford CT and Jack and Jane (Branca) of Needham MA. She is also grandmother to Catherine Wallace and her fiancé Joseph Hussey Jr., and Megan Wallace all of Guilford CT as well as two great grandchildren, Makenzie Hussey and Joseph Hussey III.

Betty was a dedicated teacher and taught at the Sacred Heart School in Taftville CT, the Gales Ferry Middle School and the Juliet W. Long School in Ledyard CT until her retirement. She was certified to teach K-12 and primarily taught the 5th grade.

In 1985, Betty and Dick relocated to Florida to enjoy their retirement years. Betty became active in civic affairs and maintained her passion for lifelong learning. She was a member of the Pass-a-Grille and St. Petersburg Yacht Clubs as well as the St. Petersburg Opera Guild.
