Edna May Gibbs, 89, formerly of Chester, Pennsylvania passed away on May 10, 2011 at the Golden Hill Heath Care Center, Milford, Connecticut.
Mrs. Gibbs was a resident of Milford, Connecticut since 1997 and was formerly a 50 year resident of Chester, Pennsylvania. She was born January 25, 1922, and was the daughter of the late LeRoy and Edna Halverson Murphy of Chester. Mrs. Gibbs is the wife of the late John M. Gibbs of Chester, mother of the late John H. Gibbs of Springfield, MA and James D. Gibbs of Chester, sister of the late Helen Schuelie, Eleanor McClelland Harold and Edwin Halverson and granddaughter of the late Harold and Carolyn Halverson all of Chester, PA.
She will be lovingly remembered for her uniqueness, generosity and many fond memories. She is survived by her son and his wife Ronald W. and JoAnn (Armstrong) Gibbs of Milford, CT, daughter-in-law Mary (Little) Gibbs of Springfield, MA and a sister Jennie Gaal of Woodlyn, PA. She is also survived by seven grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.
