Doris Faye Harvell, 84, of Tallahassee, Florida, passed away on Thursday, July 22, 2021, at the Big Bend Hospice House
Born in Bayou La Batre, Alabama on December 13, 1936, she was a daughter of Charlie Randall and Lillie Bell Williams Moore, of blessed memory. She is now reunited in Heaven with her husband of 60 years, Ellis L. Harvell; grandson, Chad Bruce; and siblings, Nellie Causey, Katherine Strickland, Dorothy Kelley and Leonard “Leo” Moore.
She spent her career as a bookkeeper, working in the banking industry, and later retiring after 29 years from the Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles. A faithful member at Immanuel Baptist Church, she was an avid gardener, loved to watch birds, made quilts with her daughter and also loved to travel.
Survivors include her children, Ellis Wayne Harvell (wife, Maryann) and Carolyn Annette Ball (husband, Bob); grandchildren, Angela Runyan (husband, David), Casey Harvell and Dustin Harvell (wife, Hillary); great-grandchildren, Christopher, Chance, Kelsie, Jared, Taylor, Tristan, Harper, Lana, Colsen, Brandt and Emory; brother, Herschel Moore; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
