Diane Sharon Gordon was born on June 3, 1951 in Cleveland, Ohio to the late Della Gordon and William Olds. She was later was adopted by her late Great-aunt, Khadijah Akmal, and raised with brothers, Louis and the late Jasper Sharpe. She departed this life on Monday, April 4, 2016.
She leaves to cherish her memories, husband, Joel Smith; devoted daughters, Sharron Gordon of Cleveland, Ohio, and Nicole (Marcus) Cameron of Columbia, South Carolina; five grandchildren, Marcus, Rahnee, Lexi, Aaron, and Lauryn; brothers, Louis Sharpe of Warren, Ohio, Sylvester Gordon of Dearborn, Michigan; step-children, Freddie E. Thomas Jr. of Sandusky, Ohio, Jovan Smith of Cleveland, Ohio and Paris Smith-Tucker of Montgomery, Alabama; mother and father-in-law, Jacqueline (Victor) Hardcastle of Cleveland, Ohio; sisters-in-law Lisa (Timothy) Baddger of Oakwood Village, Ohio and Judy (Dane) Carter of Hopkins, South Carolina; the Jones-Thomas family; a loving friend, Geraldine Rountree; her bowling and Embassy Suites families; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews, all of whom will miss her dearly.
