How is it we never saw your wings

when you were here with us? When you closed your eyes

and soared to the heavens We could hear the faint flutter

of your wings as you left. Your body no longer on this side

Your spirit here eternally. We see your halo shine.

We close our eyes And see the multi-colored wings surround us in our saddest moments

and happiest times.

Mother Our Angel, God has given you your assignment. Always our mother forever our angel.

You fly into our dreams

when we are asleep. We feel your wings brush against our faces,

Wiping away our tears that we shed. We no longer hold you in our arms;

We hold you in our hearts.
