Mrs. Clara Margaret O’Rear Wynn, 86, of Lanett went to meet her Heavenly Maker Thursday, August 5, 2021, at EAMC-Lanier in Valley.
Mrs. Wynn was preceded in death by her devoted husband of 56 years, Dr. Charles Wynn. She is survived by two loving daughters, Beth (Chuck) LeVert of Dawson, GA; and Martha Anne (David) Belser of LaFayette, AL; three grandsons, Cal (Holli) LeVert of Byron, GA; D.J. (Rachel) Belser of Huntsville, AL; and Joey (Ashley) Belser of Charlotte, NC; three great-grandchildren, Charlie LeVert, Kayli Anne LeVert, and Annalove Belser; one brother, Charles Dixon O’Rear of Jasper, AL; a special sister-in-law Eugenia McCartney of Auburn, AL and many nieces and nephews. The family would like to say a special thank you to Mr. and Mrs. Mike Bass for being such outstanding neighbors for all these years and to Makesha Darden for giving such amazing care to our mother and Nanny in her last months.
Born March 26, 1935, in Jasper, Alabama, Mrs. Wynn was the daughter of the late John W. and Artie O’Rear. She was a devoted wife and mother. She dearly loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and was always ready to share a story or picture with those who would listen. She served alongside Dr. Wynn as he pastored several churches throughout their married life. She also worked alongside him as the secretary for East Liberty Baptist Association for many years. She served as the pianist at many churches, most recently at Todd Congregational Church where she helped mentor the young ladies in what it means to be a Godly woman and Godly wife.
