Mrs. Callahan was born October 12, 1915 in New Britain daughter of the late George and Anna Dickinson. Cecelia had worked as a telephone operator and then went to work for New Britain Machine, working as the switchboard operator until her retirement.
She enjoyed bowling, square dancing, playing cards, knitting, cooking, was an avid Red Sox fan and socializing with her many friends. In her younger years she was an active volunteer and most especially enjoyed her time with the American Red Cross at New Britain General Hospital.
She is survived by one daughter, Kathleen F.
