Catherine Daniels, wonderful Wife, Mother, Grandmother and Great-Grandmother, was born Daisy Catherine Green to a pioneer Wakulla County farming family in 1928. One of eleven children born to Rob and Persephone Laird Green, Catherine graduated from Crawfordville High School in 1946, and worked at Wakulla Springs gift shop, as well as office jobs in Tallahassee.
Catherine met Elgin L. Daniels in 1948, and they married and lived in Michigan and Arizona before settling in Leon County, where Elgin built a service station-grocery store and Catherine worked at Tallahassee Title Company and later with the State of Florida for many years as a State Lands Specialist. Catherine retired twice from her state career in two different jobs. She was a Baptist and a member of Parkway and Faith Baptist Churches.
She was preceded in death by her Husband, Elgin L Daniels; and is survived by sons, Zeb Daniels (wife, Ginger) and Steven Daniels; granddaughters, Ashley Daniels and Jessica Brattain (husband, Chase; and great-grandsons, Daniel and Chase II; brother, Charles Green; sister, Bea Andrews, and many beloved other family members.
In addition to her parents and husband, she is also preceded in death by her siblings, Ira Pasco Green, Annie P. Duke, Linda G. Gray, Esther P. Branch, Albert Green, Daniel R. Green, Robert D. Green and Oather “Mac” D. Green.
