Mrs. Carolyn Shelnutt Johnson, age 70, of Lanett, Alabama passed away on Saturday, February 4, 2017 at her daughter’s residence in Roanoke, Alabama.
Mrs. Johnson was born on March 27, 1946 in Randolph County to the late Corbin Lee Shelnutt and Elizabeth Aldora Key Shelnutt.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James Junior Johnson; siblings, Abigail Strain, William Shelnutt, Wiley Shelnutt, Bunnie Shelnutt, and Ronald Joe Shelnutt.
Mrs. Johnson was a member of the Valley Church of Christ. She was a longtime employee of Playtex, Letica, and the Spectrum Store that was located in West Point, Georgia, where she made many friends.
She is survived by her children, Angel (Rodney) Smith, Roanoke, Kevin (Heather) Johnson, Lanett; siblings, Barrett Shelnutt, Ed Shelnutt, Sara Shelnutt Williamson; grandchildren, Autumn Hill, Olivia Johnson, Eli Johnson.
