Carolyn Chapman Landrum, 75, a lifetime native of Tallahassee, was welcomed into eternal life on Wednesday, May 23, 2018, while surrounded by her loving family. A daughter of the late John W. Chapman, Sr. and the late Carolyn Johnson Chapman, she was born in Tallahassee on August 12, 1942. She is also preceded in death by a sister, Jane Latina. Carol was a hardworking woman who worked alongside her husband to build a successful business and family. Anyone who met her knew that she said what she meant and meant what she said and did not sway from her beliefs. Any promises made would always be fulfilled. She enjoyed all types of crafts and could often be found with some sort of project going. Baby sweaters, blankets and quilts were among the projects that she enjoyed most. Countless projects left her hands and went to those she loved. Carol enjoyed being surrounded by her grandchildren and often gave advice on any part of their lives whether they wanted it or not. While she is no longer able to hand out advice, they know that she is always with them. Survivors include her husband, A.D. Landrum; children, John Landrum and Sherry Clark; five grandchildren; and brothers, John W. Chapman, Jr. and William Thomas Chapman. She is also survived by many friends.
