Carol B. Haydka Hawkins, age 85, resident of Milford since the 1940’s, beloved wife to Stewart Hawkins and to the late Feodor Hadyka, passed away on Friday, June 01, 2012 at Milford Hospital. Born in New Haven, CT on January 3, 1927 she was the daughter of the late Paul Edgar and Ruth Grodske Boyce. She was the owner of the Hadyka Insurance Agency in Milford for many years, and Carol was greatly admired and praised for her business aptitude and growth while she was raising her children alone. She was a member of the Milford Camera Club and was an avid reader. Carol enjoyed travelling cross country for over 20 years with her husband Stewart.
In addition to her loving husband Stewart, she is survived by her six children Michael Hadyka (Linda) of AZ, Paul Hadyka (Mary Ann) of MD, Ellen Rusch (Christopher) of SC, Feodor Hadyka (Elaine) of CA, Margaret Schumitz (Larry) of Orange and David Hawkins (Cathy) of CA; Twelve loving grandchildren and her beloved great granddaughter; as well as two sisters Marjorie Patten (William) and Susanna Kolakowski (Richard).
