Carol Ann West, 77, of Tallahassee, Florida passed away peacefully at home on Friday, February 19, 2021 after a lengthy, yet hard-fought illness. A daughter of the late John Quinton Branom and the late Helen Meilstrup, she was born in San Antonio, Texas on October 15, 1943.
She is also preceded in death by a son, Eddie Carey; and brother, John Branom. Carol dedicated her life to her family, raising three children with her husband Bob, and serving as a military spouse throughout his 22-year Air Force career. Carol loved children and also worked as a day care provider for much of her adult life. She enjoyed traveling when she was able, going to rock concerts, many trips to Disney World and watching old Westerns on television. Carol will be remembered for not only her strength and sense of humor, but also for her love and care for family and friends.
She leaves behind her husband, Bob; son Bobby; daughter Kimberly (Scott), son Mark Carey (April) and son Danny Carey; 8 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; her best friend of 45 years, Barbara Starr; and countless other beloved family and friends.
