Carmen Corrine French, 89, of Tallahassee, passed away Monday, September 14, 2015. A daughter of the late Clarence Roscoe and Wilma Louise Adrian Williams, she was born February 15, 1926, in Stockport, Ohio. She was married to Scott Leroy French, who preceded her in death in 2008. She is also preceded in death by her siblings, Nelda McElwee and Carlton Williams. Survivors include her children, Sandra Smith, (husband, Wayne) and Bruce French, (wife, Dena); seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; brother, John Clayton Williams; numerous nieces and nephews, as well as Penny, her faithful Dachshund of eight years. She was a member of Morningside Baptist Church, and participated in many church activities, including Women’s Ministry, Prison Ministry, Sunday School Teacher, and helping support an orphanage in the Dominican Republic. During her life, she worked in many positions, including beautician, secretary, teacher’s aide, physician’s assistant and homemaker.
