Brenda Layne Osborn peacefully entered into the loving arms of Jesus on October 1, 2017, while surrounded by her loving family. A daughter of the late Arthur R. Greene and Betty Jo Layne Greene, she was born on March 2, 1952, in Houston, Texas. She and her husband, John, made Tallahassee their home in 2002. Brenda retired in 2016 from Leon County Schools, where she was Registrar at Gretchen Everhart School, a job she truly loved. If you knew Brenda, you would know that a Flamingo is close by. She collected Flamingos for over 30 years. She is survived by her husband of 41 years, John; a daughter, Elizabeth Layne Hartman and her husband, Bryan, of Noblesville, Indiana; her grandchildren, Joey and Ben; her brother and sister-in-law, Bucky and Kitty Greene, of Ormand Beach, Florida; her stepmother, Mary Greene, of Ocala, Florida; sisters-in-law, Ann Luckett (Vernon) and Marion Biven (Fred); her brother-in-law, Ben Osborn (Linda), all of Louisville, Kentucky, and a number of nieces and nephews.
