Bobbie Sue Jackson Atkins, 73, of Tallahassee, passed away Sunday, July 17, 2016. A daughter of Violet Walker Jackson, who survives, and the late Robert Nathan Jackson, Bobbie Sue was born January 9, 1943, in Jonesborough, Tennessee. She retired from the Leon County School System cafeteria, and was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother and homemaker. She was a member of Tallavana Community Church and enjoyed travelling across the United States and Canada. Some of her favorite pastimes and hobbies included gardening, nature walks, bird watching and wildlife. She was also an excellent seamstress and amazing cook. She is survived by her son, Charles Nathan (Danni) Atkins; granddaughters, Rebecca Lauren Atkins and Catherine Elizabeth Atkins; siblings, Steve (Debbie) Jackson, Seena Barley and Kathe (Aldon) Broyles; nieces and nephew, Bobbie Rae Pawlowski, Sonya O’Brien, Aaron (Marsha) Broyles, and Christiana (Christopher) Brown. She is also survived by a brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Gary (Sandy) Atkins, of Auburn, New York, as well as many nieces and nephews.
