Bobbie Fay Nelson, 78, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 3, 2016, at the Big Bend Hospice House. Bobbie Fay, daughter of the late Monroe and Alene Danford Bass, was born July 7, 1938, in New Brockton, Alabama.
She is also preceded in death by her twin brother, Billy Ray Bass. She, along with her husband of 58 years, James Nelson, came to Tallahassee in 1959, from Elba, Alabama. She was a bookkeeper with Somerset Furniture Company and was a dedicated member at Chapel Hill Baptist Church. Her favorite hobby was crocheting. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her son, Scott (Lisa) Nelson; daughter, Wendy (Kevin) Nelson Taylor; grandchildren, Wyatt Taylor, Brandon Taylor, Courtney Taylor, Brittany McDonald, Charles McDonald, and Justin McDonald; great-grandchildren, Rylin, Trenton, Colton, Bowen, and Trip; and a sister-in-law, Pat Bass.
