Beverly Ann (Belva) Thompson was born March 9, 1956 to Albert and Annie Bell Robinson. Her parents preceded her in death. She was the youngest of six children.

She accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized at Mt.

She was educated in Gulfport City Schools. After graduating high school in 1974, Beverly moved to Atlanta, to live with her sisters.

In 1975, she met , fell in love and married Robert Thompson. To this union two sons were born: Robert Jr. and Richard Lamar. She loved her family. She was a devoted wife and mother.

Her hobbies were sewing and decorating her home. She loved black art and antique furniture. She also loved to shop and was always willing to share with others. Beverly loved talking on the telephone. She used her telephone as a resource to help victims of Hurricane Ktrina get assistance from the Red Cross.

She became ill and after surgery she was sent to Legacy for rehabilitation. While at Legacy, she was the reader for her Bible study class and was briefly the president of the residential council.

On June 14, 2015, God sent an angel to escort Beverly safely home. She leaves to cherish her memory: sons, Robert L. Thompson Jr. and Richard L. Thompson of Atlanta; five sisters: Geneva Lucas of Atlanta, Daisy l;. Robinson, Lynette Goff, Almetrius Brown and Jacqueline Wilson of Gulfport, Mississippi; and a host of nieces and nephews.
