Betty Kirkpatrick Loper, 87, of Tallahassee, passed away on Tuesday, January 30, 2018, at Centre Pointe Health and Rehab. She was a daughter of the late Henry D. Kirkpatrick and Maude L. Dewitt Kirkpatrick and was born in Hattisburg, Mississippi on January 9, 1931. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Otis Eugene Loper; son, Otis Eugene Loper, II; and siblings, H.D. Kirkpatrick, A.C. Kirkpatrick, E.B. Kirkpatrick and A.L. Kirkpatrick. She was an Assignment Specialist with Century Link and Secretary for the Legal Division for the State of Florida, was a member of Crossway Baptist Church and enjoyed sewing, crochet, arts and crafts and camping. She is survived by a son, Alfred Loper (wife, Lynda); daughter-in-law, Barbara Loper; grandchildren, Tabatha Rackley, Shane Loper, Shannon Dwyer; great-grandchildren, Donovan Rackley, Trevor Rackley, Ryleigh Loper, Colby Tomlinson, Daniel Dwyer, Alexis Dwyer, Kaylee Salazar, Trey Dwyer and Kassie Dwyer; great-great-grandchildren, Evelyn Salazar and Walter Finn Tomlinson; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins; as well as a close family friend, Loretta Raneri.
