Surrounded by her loving family, Barbara Jones Bass, 61, of Tallahassee, entered into Heaven’s gates on Friday, January 12, 2018.
A daughter of the late Harvey Leslie Jones, Sr., and Hazel Howard Jones, who survives, she was born in Tallahassee on February 6, 1956. She held many different positions with the State of Florida, most recently being with the Department of Education as an Information Specialist. She enjoyed stock car racing, enjoyed working with flowers, but most importantly, loved her family.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband, Charles E. “Chuck” Bass; children, Patty Byrd (husband, Jerry), Rachel Arnold (husband, Daniel) and Scott Bass; grandchildren, Dawson Byrd and Brody Byrd; siblings, Leslie Jones, David Jones, Rita Zangas and Janie Miller.
