Barbara Battles, 70, of Tallahassee, passed away on August 21, 2017, while surrounded by her loving family. A daughter of the late Carl and Evie Carter Bruton, she was born September 21, 1946, in Atlanta, Georgia. Also preceding her in death are her husband, James T. Battles; son, James Battles; and grandson, Jayson Hughes. She was a caregiver and a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She is survived by her children, Pamela Yeomans (Joey), Amanda Battles, Tina Russ (Earl); grandchildren, Stephanie Cutchen, Leslie Cutchen, Victoria Battles, Tessa Battles, Troy Yeomans, Kayla Yeomans, Trevor Yeomans, Taylor Hughes, Matt Battles and Madison Russ. Also surviving are her siblings, Jerome Bruton, Harvey Bruton, Eugene Bruton, Pauline Arnold and Carol Oldham.
