Barbara A. Oswald. Nee Maher, 82 of Palos Heights peacefully passed away on Thursday, October 21, 2021, surrounded by her loving family.
Loving wife of Frank R. Oswald, and beloved mother of Kevin ( Laura ) Oswald, Katherine ( Brian ) Howe and Deborah Pawelko.
Adored by her grandchildren Matthew ( Jeni ) Howe, Kelsey ( Sam ) Speaker, Sarah ( Connor Dahlman, Owen Pawelko, Mason Pawelko, and great granddaughter Sofia Howe,. Dear sister to Rosemary ( late Bob ) Noble, Kathleen ( David ) Grand, Larry ( Joanne ) Maher, Martin ( late Eileen ) Maher, Thomas ( Diane ) Maher, Patrick ( Patricia) Maher, Loved by many nieces and nephews.
Barbara is preceded in death by sisters Theresa ( James ) Boot., Winifred ( Joseph ) Golab, and brother Robert ( Bridget ) Maher and Kevin Maher.
Barbara’’s life revolved around caring for her family. When her children were grown, she dedicated herself as a hospice volunteer at Palos Hospice for 20+ years. Her passions and hobbies included singing , golf and volunteering her time the the community of Palos Heights. She was an active member of the St. Alexander Church Choir, Palos Heights Woman’s Club and the Palos Heights Woman’s Golf League.
